Eastward ho, off we go,
Through backstreets that few locals know.
Cold beer awaits at the end of the trail,
If not, we’ll blame the hare and send him to jail.
This week’s adventure starts at a friendly little bar in District 10 where the drinks are cold, the welcome is warm, and the scenery is pleasant enough to make some hashers forget they’re supposed to be running.
From there we’ll head east through the heart of Saigon, exploring laneways, hidden corners, and shortcuts that may or may not actually be shortcuts. Expect the usual mix of confusion, conspiracy theories about the trail markings, and the occasional moment of brilliance.
The trail finishes at The Street Nguyễn Thái Học, where local food is plentiful, the beer is refreshingly affordable, and the stories somehow get better with every round.
